In an effort to shine a light on American workers and companies that make and sell their products in America, President Trump has dubbed this week, "Made in America", week. Essentially, this week is the beginning of introducing a new "Made in America" label. This label will be available to all domestic manufacturers who can prove that all of their product is made in America.

Unfortunately, this movement has been met with bureaucratic limits in the precious metals industry. This is because many precious metals are refined over and over throughout the years. For example, gold can be recycled an infinite amount of times, some of the gold having been mined hundreds of years ago. As a result, it is very difficult to determine whether refined products like jewelry are actually completely made in America. Some may claim that it is unfair to hold precious metals to the same level as other products.

How do you feel? Would you be more inclined to buy an item with precious metals if you knew it was completely made in America?
